We all know, Gold is classic. William Shakespeare said ”Gold – what it not do, and undo?” it makes design appealing, elegant, classic and in the same time luxurious and when combined with black these two shades create a dramatic and timeless effect. Which is why we knew when this sideboard arrived it had to be dressed in Fusion Coal Black with detailing.

The sideboard consists of two cupboards and 3 drawers. Making it perfect for a drinks cabinet, crockery etc. The cupboards have shelves placed at different levels making them perfect for storing those large bottles or taller pieces of crockery. The doors internally have been framed with gold and the existing wood nourished with Osmo oil. The three centrally placed drawers have a gold trim to the tops of the drawers. The top drawer is a cutlery drawer which has had the original felting painted in black to match the exterior This is also where the makers badge is found. The entire interior has been treated with Wise Old Owl Furniture Salve in scent Tobacco Flowers, which gives the piece a rich, classic aroma that matches the piece.

The exterior has been painted in Fusions Coal black, with gold detailing acting as a perfect surround for the exposed walnut bur. The sideboard sits on classic Queen Anne legs, again painted in black. The whole exterior was then treated with Osmo oil that gives the piece a sheen and additional protection.
